Three ways to receive money from abroad.
Straight to a bank account, as cash for pick-up, or into a mobile wallet — your receiver picks whatever suits them best.
Bank Deposit
- 1
The sender requests transfer to the receiver’s bank account in the destination country.
- 2
Funds are generally credited to the account on the same or the following day.
- 3
City Express sends transaction details to the sender by email or SMS.
Cash Pick-Up
- 1
After the remittance is completed, share the PIN number with your receiver.
- 2
The receiver presents a valid original ID and the PIN to collect cash instantly.
- 3
The receiver’s name must match their ID exactly.
Wallet Pick-Up
- 1
The sender selects the receiver’s mobile wallet as the payout method.
- 2
Funds land directly in the wallet balance, usually within minutes.
- 3
The receiver spends, withdraws, or transfers the balance straight from their phone.
Standard settlement time
Transactions received until 19:00 JST on a banking business day are processed on the following business day. Those received after 19:00 JST or on bank holidays are processed on the second subsequent banking business day. City Express sends transaction details to the sender by email or SMS.
